Business Studies is a fascinating and dynamic subject which teaches pupils the principles and theories behind business management and the practices behind running a successful business. The Business Studies curriculum at Ormiston Bolingbroke Academy is intended to provide pupils with the knowledge and skills required to become outstanding employees or indeed employers. We help to develop the range of thinking and learning skills necessary for examination success, but we go beyond that. We strive to create the innovators of the future, by providing every pupil with the opportunity to develop 21st Century employability skills.
Over the years the department has forged strong links with numerous organisations including Jaguar Land Rover, 02 at Preston Brook, Manchester Airport, Alton Towers, Hays Recruitment as well as independent businesses. These organisations bring teaching and learning to life in the form of visits and case studies.
