Halton Public Speaking Competition
On Tuesday 4th February 2014, Ormiston Bolingbroke Academy hosted the Halton Schools’ Public Speaking Competition 2014. Congratulations to Browne House member Sarah Taylor (Year 9) who won the Key Stage 4 competition with her excellent speech on “Goals”. Sarah spoke about ‘Goals’ and the amount of time and effort she had put into the speech shone through. Sarah was informative, persuasive and extremely entertaining. Well done Sarah!
Browne House – Best Attendance for Spring Term 1
Congratulations to all pupils in Browne House for achieving excellent attendance during the Spring 1 term. Browne House finished Spring 1 with an average attendance of 95.28% which is an improvement of over 1% from the Autumn 2 term and places us in first place for attendance in the house cup. Congratulations to 7RC/SSL, 8AR, 9KC/SSS for all achieving an average attendance above 95% for the term, with year 7 having the highest average attendance in the house (96.32%). Keep up the good work!

Browne House finished in 2nd Place for the Inter House competition in October 2013 with 68 points (just 1 point behind the winners Nickson House). Congratulations to all pupils who took part.
