Kenya Safari

February 5-14th: Members of the 6th form are going on a trip of a lifetime to the East-African country of Kenya. 6 students and 2 members of staff will be visiting Nairobi and travelling down the Great African Rift Valley to Lake Nakuru.

Students will then travel to the Marich Pass field study centre and partake in an educational project of their choosing such as:
-Teaching in a primary school
-Tribal medicines
-Rites of passage
-Law in a tribal society
-The role of women in the Pokot society
-Marriage
-Family structures
-Water sources
-Health and Medicine

The 8-day long trip will be a fantastic opportunity for the students and staff to experience a developing country with huge cultural differences.
