Ormiston Bolingbroke Academy celebrates Sixth Form student achievements

Students and staff at Ormiston Bolingbroke Academy (OBA) are celebrating today after receiving their A Level results, enabling them to secure places at their chosen universities, on coveted apprenticeships and selected jobs.

Sixth form students, attending Ormiston Bolingbroke Academy, have achieved some excellent results which reflect the hard work and commitment shown throughout their studies.

Students across the academy performed well, with some of the individual standout achievements including:

  • Wendy Kelley who achieved Distinction* in Animal Management a Distinction* in Hospitality and a Distinction in Computer Science, and will be going on to study Primary Education at Liverpool John Moores University. 
  • Niamh Watcham who obtained an A* in her EPQ, an A in English Literature, a B in Spanish and a B in History, and will be going on to study English Literature at the University of Liverpool.  
  • Jack Dalton, who received an A in Maths, a B in Physics and a Distinction in BTEC Engineering, and who is going on to study Aerospace Engineering at the University of Liverpool.
  • Isacc Evans, who achieved an A in Biology, a B in Business Studies and a B in English Literature, who is going on to study Biological Science at the University of Liverpool.
  • Emily Cully received an A in her EPQ, a B in Psychology, a B in English Literature and a C in Geography and is going on to study Psychology at the University of Manchester.
  • Dylan Roberts obtained a Distinction in BTEC Business, a Merit in BTEC Engineering and a Merit in BTEC Law.

Scott Fenner, Head of Sixth Form at Ormiston Bolingbroke Academy, said:

“The results achieved today reflect the hard work and commitment of many students and staff. This set of exams are the first formal examinations our Year 13 students have sat, since the pandemic, and I am proud of the way they have risen to the challenge.

“I wish each student all the very best. I hope everyone stays in touch to let us know how they are doing; everyone is always welcome back, anytime.”
