Geography - Travel & Tourism
Pupils study Geography in Years 7 and 8 covering topics including The Geography of Football, Rivers, Volcanos and Environmental Issues. The curriculum is designed to inspire a love of Geography in the pupils and involves active learning and technology to engage pupils.
At Key Stage 3 pupils follow a creative curriculum including sessions in Art culminating in various projects including the House Film project.
At Key Stage 4 we offer the choice of GCSE Geography and Level 2 Travel & Tourism. Within our thriving sixth form we offer A-Level Geography along with Level 3 BTEC Public Services and Travel & Tourism.

Work Experience
As part of the Academies Applied Learning specialism the faculty offers Level 3 Travel and Tourism students the opportunity to spend a week on work experience. Placements are made in consultation with external agencies and we work with students on matching their career goals with an appropriate placement. Students’ practice CV writing, have mock interviews and based on our current record the vast majority of students get offered jobs once the course is finished or a part time job whilst they continue studying.
