Activity List
Saturday Academy
The Saturday is open on a Saturday offering year 5&6 pupils along with our own pupils a chance to get involved in ‘Around the world’, Saturday sports academy, and Spotlight. So whether it’s acting, sports skills or learning about different countries and cultures form around the world we have plenty on offer for all of you.
As you can see from the timetables above we are spoilt for choice across the week, with many different subjects offering a variety of sessions.
Trips & Outings
We are all about making after school FUN for our pupils and what better way than getting out and about!
Duke of Edinburgh
Pupils in Year 9 to 13 are given the opportunity to take part in the prestigious Duke of Edinburgh qualification from bronze to gold level. Each year we have over 40 students undertake Bronze & Silver Award and 21 students for Gold Award. Miss Porschke, Mr Fenner, Miss McKevitt and Mr Hussey are there alongside the students braving the British weather and countryside to steer our pupils through a wide range of challenges and expeditions to ensure that they meet the DofE qualification criteria. They learn to carry rucksacks bigger than themselves in some cases, set up camps amongst Britain’s nosey wildlife and prepare for future festival experiences by wading through fields of mud but all for what can be described by this adventurous lot as ‘boss’. The picture shows our first ever completed Gold group that were invited to St James Palace to receive their awards from HRH Earl of Wessex in December 2016. What an achievement!
