Support Assistant - Sixth Form

Support Assistant with responsibility for Attendance: Sixth Form

 

Salary: Grade 2, SCP 3 – 5: £15,054 - £15,663 Term Time pro-rata

(£18,065 - £18,795 full time equivalent)

Hours: 37 hours per week, Term Time

 

 

We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and highly motivated individual to work with our sixth form students and their families on matters relating to attendance and punctuality (especially to those students with persistent absence), to provide support in the supervision of the independent sixth form study room and undertake various administrative duties.

 

Reporting to the Sixth Form Assistant Principal and Assistant Head of Sixth Form , you will have excellent communication skills to develop positive relationships with all members of the school's community. Ideally, you will have experience of working with young people and families and may suit someone with experience as a Teaching Assistant or similar role.

 

 To fulfil this role ideally you will need:

  • A good working knowledge of SIMS to input data and produce reports (training will be given)
  • Excellent administrative and computer skills to produce letters and reports using Word and Excel
  • Ability to analyse data such as attendance figures to identify trends
  • Experience of working on attendance issues within a school environment
  • Experience of supporting independent learning
