Prestigious Award for Young Linguist

Holly Godden, a Sixth Form student at Ormiston Bolingbroke Academy, has been honoured to receive a very prestigious award from OBA’s sponsor, Ormiston Academies Trust (OAT) for her talents as a young linguist.

The Oscar-type annual award ceremony took place in the luxurious venue of The Grand Connaught Rooms in London where only sixteen OAT awards were presented for a range of different outstanding achievements. After a red carpet reception, the spectacular event that followed included musical performances, speeches and a wonderful dinner, but the highlight of the evening was the awards ceremony itself.

The guest speaker for the evening and presenter of the awards was comedian, actor and writer Hugh Dennis.  Hugh is currently starring in BBC2’s topical panel show ‘Mock the Week’ and BBC1’s hit sitcom ‘Outnumbered’.  Hugh also writes and presents Radio 4’s award winning comedy ‘The Now Show’ which is currently in its twenty-seventh series.
