Staff at OBA have produced their first charity calendar to raise funds for Trinity Kings Cross.
The calendar is a compilation of movie posters starring your favourite teachers dressed up as famous characters from the big screen.
You can buy the calendar in school at reception, student services or order through School Gateway for just £4.50 with all proceeds being donated to Trinity Kings Cross Charity. Calendars ordered before 11th December 2015 will be delivered to pupils to bring home before Christmas. Orders placed after this date will still be delivered but may not be in time for Christmas.
Trinity Kings Cross is a local based charity set up in October 2013 to help families across Halton. Following closure of The Kings Cross Project in 2012, it soon became evident that nobody else was offering support in areas such as money management, counselling, mediation and providing emergency food supplies that many families needed.
The first project taken on by Trinity Kings Cross was supplying Christmas hampers to those families in Halton who would otherwise have struggled to provide food and presents for their children at Christmas. Last year they supplied 103 hampers to those families in crisis in the Halton area.
Trinity Kings Cross have recently started counselling and mediation sessions for children and families referred to them by social services or other agencies. They would like to extend this type of support as there is still a great need in the Halton area and are currently applying for funding.
