Ormiston Bolingbroke Academys first ECM day of the year was focused on students ‘Making a positive contribution’. 3 Year groups took part in the day in a variety of activities.
Year 7 all designed different Halloween Products to sell at Parents Evening. Products students desgined and made themselves consisted of Halloween masks, Halloween mugs, torches with spooky faces on them, Cupcakes with scary designs, Halloween bunting and chocolate wrappers.
Throughout the day students worked in the technology department producing their products and a selected team sold them in the evening raising £160 for Kenya.
Year 8 students took on the fog and rain to climb Moel Famau. Students completed a range of challenges on the way up the mountain developing team work in their tutor groups. Students raised £120 for the Kenya Charity for being sponsored for braving the weather, mountain and challenges.
All of year 9 participated in Diversity Session with an external provider. Diversity Role Models in partnership with RBS.
Students explored prejudices to LGBT people, they will discussed the importance of diversity and how they can contribute to ways of tackling homophobia in the community.
