Shakespeare Schools Festival

A group of Year 8 students will be performing in the Shakespeare Schools Festival in November. The project is the largest Youth Drama Festival in the country and celebrates the prolific works of William Shakespeare. Seven hundred schools and ninety theatres across the UK will come together, in what promises to be the biggest and best Festival yet.

The project provides our students with the fantastic opportunity to work with professionals from the National Theatre and to develop acting skills and techniques. Our students will participate in a cast workshop with The National Theatre who will mentor them before they perform their work.

OBA students will be performing an abridged version of ‘A Midsummer Night’s Dream’ on Monday 12th November at Pyramid and Parr Hall, Warrington and parents and guardians are invited to watch the public performance.

Tickets can be purchased from the Pyramid and Parr Box Office, Palmyra Square South, Warrington WA1 1BL. Phone number: 01925 442345
